# Launching RCS in Peru

**Important**  
RCS in Peru is available only to businesses with a local presence in Peru. International companies without Peruvian operations or a locally-registered entity cannot register for RCS in Peru.

To launch your AWS RCS Agent in Peru, submit a country launch registration using the `PE_RCS_LAUNCH_REGISTRATION` registration type. Peru uses the standard baseline registration form. For the baseline fields, see [Standard country launch registration](rcs-country-launch-standard.md).

## Local presence requirement

Peru's carrier (Entel) only supports locally-registered RCS agents. Your business must have a local presence in Peru to be eligible for RCS messaging.
+ No additional documentation is required beyond the standard registration form — the local presence restriction is validated during carrier review.
+ If your business does not have Peruvian operations or a locally-registered entity, your registration will be denied.

**Note**  
There are no additional documents to upload for Peru. However, if your business is not locally registered in Peru, your registration will not be approved.
