

 Amazon Redshift will no longer support the creation of new Python UDFs starting Patch 198. Existing Python UDFs will continue to function until June 30, 2026. # Modifying the manual snapshot retention period

You can change the retention period for a manual snapshot by modifying the snapshot settings.

**To change the manual snapshot retention period**

1. Sign in to the AWS Management Console and open the Amazon Redshift console at [https://console.aws.amazon.com/redshiftv2/](https://console.aws.amazon.com/redshiftv2/).

1. On the navigation menu, choose **Clusters**, **Snapshots**, then choose the manual snapshot to change. 

1. For **Actions**, choose **Manual snapshot settings** to display the properties of the manual snapshot. 

1. Enter the revised properties of the snapshot definition, then choose **Save**.
