Amazon OpenSearch Ingestion (OSI) pipelines support machine learning (ML) offline batch inference processing to efficiently enrich large volumes of data at low cost. Use offline batch inference whenever you have large datasets that can be processed asynchronously. Offline batch inference works with Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker models. This feature is available in all AWS Regions that support OpenSearch Ingestion with OpenSearch Service 2.17\$1 domains. Semantic highlighting is an advanced search feature that enhances result relevance by analyzing the meaning and context of queries rather than relying solely on exact keyword matches. This capability uses machine learning models to evaluate semantic similarity between search queries and document content, identifying and highlighting the most contextually relevant sentences or passages within documents. Amazon OpenSearch Service now includes a CloudFormation templates that automatically configures Amazon SageMaker models for semantic highlighting. FIPS 140-2, is a U.S. and Canadian government standard that specifies security requirements for cryptographic modules that protect sensitive information. Amazon OpenSearch Serverless FIPS endpoints are available in AWS Regions where FIPS is supported. These endpoints use TLS 1.2 or later and FIPS-validated cryptographic algorithms for all communications.New feature: SAML attribute-based fine-grained access control

Amazon OpenSearch Service supports fine-grained access control with SAML to dynamically map users and groups from your identity provider to OpenSearch fine-grained access control users and roles. Amazon OpenSearch UI expands its modernized operational analytics experience to new AWS Regions, including Asia Pacific (Hyderabad), Asia Pacific (Osaka), Asia Pacific (Seoul), Europe (Milan), Europe (Zurich), Europe (Spain), and US-West (N. California) enabling you to gain insights across data spanning managed domains and serverless collections from a single endpoint. OpenSearch UI can connect to OpenSearch domains above version 1.3 and OpenSearch serverless collections. When you create or update pipeline in Amazon OpenSearch Ingestion, you no longer a specify pipeline role in a YAML format pipeline configuration.
