# Managing your seller account
<a name="seller-account-management"></a>

After creating your seller account, you'll need to manage various aspects of your account to ensure smooth operations. This section covers account settings, user management, permissions, and preferences that help you effectively manage your seller account in AWS Marketplace.

AWS Marketplace provides tools and features to help you manage your account, including user access controls, notification preferences, and account settings. Proper account management ensures that your team has appropriate access and that you receive important communications about your products and sales.

# Access tax documents
<a name="access-tax-documents"></a>

You can access your tax documents, such as 1099 forms, from the AWS Marketplace Management Portal.

**To access your tax documents**

1. Sign in to the AWS Marketplace Management Portal at [https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/management/](https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/management/) and choose **Settings**.

1. Go to the **Payment information** section.

1. Select the relevant tax forms (1099K or DAC7).

1. If your tax forms are available, you can download them from the **Tax dashboard** page.

**Note**
Tax documents are only available after you have completed sales transactions and the relevant tax reporting periods have ended. Forms are typically available for download during tax season.

**Sellers in India**
Sellers in India receive GST tax invoices and Seller Listing Fee tax invoices via email from AWS Marketplace Operations usually within 2 weeks of the transaction. For questions, contact [AWS Marketplace support](https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/management/contact-us/).

# Supplemental tax registrations
<a name="supplemental-tax-registrations"></a>

If you use a local Tax Registration Number (TRN) for sales in a specific locality, you can add it as a supplemental TRN to your AWS Marketplace account. For example, a supplemental Swiss TRN is used to manage tax collection and invoicing for Swiss buyers. The business address associated with supplemental TRN may be shared with independent software vendors, channel partners, and buyers.

Without a supplemental TRN, AWS Marketplace determines tax jurisdiction using the primary TRN. For more information, see [How does AWS determine the location of your account?](https://aws.amazon.com/tax-help/location/)

**To add a supplemental tax registration**

1. Sign in to the AWS Marketplace Management Portal at [https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/management/](https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/management/) and choose **Settings**.

1. On the **Settings** page, choose the **Tax settings** tab.

1. Choose **Add supplemental tax information**.

1. Enter supplemental tax registration details. A TRN can be a value-added tax (VAT) number, VAT ID, VAT registration number, or Business Registration Number.

1. Choose **Submit**.

# Managing disbursements
<a name="managing-disbursements"></a>

After completing your initial disbursement setup during registration, you can manage your disbursement preferences, add multiple currencies, and monitor your payment history. For initial setup instructions, see [Set disbursement preferences](set-disbursement-preferences.md).

## Modifying disbursement methods
<a name="modifying-disbursement-methods"></a>

You can update your existing disbursement methods or add new ones at any time:

**To modify disbursement methods**

1. Sign in to the AWS Marketplace Management Portal at [https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/management/](https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/management/) and choose **Settings**.

1. Select the **Payment information** tab.

1. In the **Disbursement methods** section, choose **Add disbursement method** to create a new method, or select an existing method and choose **Edit**.

1. Update your currency, bank account, or schedule preferences as needed.

1. Choose **Save** or **Add disbursement method**.

## Currency restrictions and available currencies
<a name="currency-restrictions-and-options"></a>

AWS Marketplace supports disbursements in multiple currencies, but certain restrictions apply based on your bank account type:
+ **US-based ACH accounts and Hyperwallet accounts** – Can only receive payments in USD
+ **SWIFT bank accounts** – Required for non-USD disbursements and optional for USD
+ **Multiple currencies** – Can be assigned to a single bank account where supported
+ **IFSC bank accounts** – Required for INR disbursements (for sellers in India only)

Available currencies for disbursements include:
+ United States dollar (USD)
+ Euro (EUR)
+ Great Britain pound (GBP)
+ Australian dollar (AUD)
+ Japanese yen (JPY)
+ Indian rupee (INR) – For sellers in India only

## Disbursement timing and processing
<a name="disbursement-timing"></a>

AWS disburses payments using the following schedule:
+ **Daily disbursements** – Occur when funds become available. You must have a positive balance to receive disbursements.
+ **Monthly disbursements** – Occur on the day of the month you specify (1-28).

Payment processing details:
+ Payments take approximately 1-2 business days to arrive in your bank account following the disbursement date
+ Funds are disbursed only after they are collected from the customer
+ The disbursement dashboard is updated 3-5 days after the disbursement
+ AWS disburses payments using Automated Clearing House (ACH) transfer or SWIFT transfer

## Disbursement management options
<a name="disbursement-management-options"></a>

AWS Marketplace provides several options for managing your disbursements:
+ **Multiple disbursement methods** – You can set up different disbursement methods for different currencies
+ **Schedule adjustments** – Change between daily and monthly disbursements, or adjust the day of the month for monthly disbursements
+ **Currency management** – Add or remove currencies and assign them to appropriate bank accounts
+ **Disbursement thresholds** – Set minimum amounts that must accumulate before payments are disbursed

## Best practices for managing disbursements
<a name="disbursement-best-practices"></a>

Consider these best practices when managing your disbursement preferences:
+ Choose disbursement schedules that align with your business's cash flow needs.
+ Set appropriate threshold amounts to minimize transaction fees. For international wire transfers, consider setting higher thresholds to offset wire transfer fees.
+ If you expect high sales volume, more frequent disbursements may be beneficial.
+ If you expect lower sales volume, less frequent disbursements with higher thresholds may be more cost-effective.
+ Review your disbursement history regularly to ensure payments are being processed as expected.
+ Keep your bank account information up to date to avoid payment delays.

## Multi-currency disbursement details
<a name="multi-currency-disbursement-details"></a>

When you create a private offer, you must configure appropriate disbursement preferences and banking arrangements for each currency you plan to support.

### Bank account requirements
<a name="bank-account-requirements"></a>

Before creating offers in non-USD currencies, you must:
+ Set up a bank account that can receive disbursements in the target currency
+ Configure disbursement preferences for each currency in your seller account
+ Ensure your bank supports SWIFT transfers for international currencies

**Important**
Currency selection is only available if you have configured disbursement preferences for that currency. You must set up the appropriate bank account before creating offers in non-USD currencies.

### Disbursement process for multi-currency offers
<a name="disbursement-process"></a>

Disbursements for multi-currency private offers work as follows:
+ You receive disbursements in the same currency as the private offer
+ Listing fees are deducted in the offer currency
+ Disbursement timing may vary depending on the currency and banking requirements
+ For channel partner offers, both the ISV and channel partner receive disbursements in the offer currency

# Managing account communications
<a name="managing-account-communications"></a>

AWS Marketplace uses your AWS account root email address for important communications, including KYC verification updates and account-related requests. Monitor this address regularly and respond from the same email when requested.

KYC verification emails come from seller-verification-enquiry-aws@amazon.co.uk or account-confirmation-eu@amazon.co.uk. To find your root email address, choose **Settings** and then **Notifications** in the AWS Marketplace Management Portal.

# Managing secondary users for Know Your Customer (KYC)
<a name="managing-secondary-users"></a>

After KYC verification is complete, the AWS account root user has access to financial functions such as processing refunds, changing bank account details, and managing disbursement frequency options. However, as a security best practice, we strongly recommend that you do not use the root user for everyday tasks. The root user has unrestricted access to all resources in your account and its credentials should be safeguarded for only the tasks that require them. Instead, create administrative users with appropriate permissions for day-to-day operations. For more information, see [Root user best practices for your AWS account](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/IAM/latest/UserGuide/root-user-best-practices.html).

All other users who need access to these financial functions are referred to as secondary users. Secondary users must complete their own KYC verification using their individual login credentials before they can amend KYC information, process refunds, or change financial information such as bank account details. These secondary users are subject to the same ongoing screening controls as the root account owner.

**Note**
Users are required to enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) to update disbursement information. For more information about MFA, see [Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for IAM](https://aws.amazon.com/iam/features/mfa/).

To become KYC verified, secondary users must complete the same KYC process as described in [Complete the KYC process](complete-kyc-process.md).

**To add secondary users for the Know Your Customer procedure**

1. Ask the user to sign in to the AWS Marketplace Management Portal at [https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/management/](https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/management/).

1. Navigate to the **Settings** tab.

1. Choose the **Know Your Customer (KYC)** tab and see the section for **Secondary user information**.

1. Choose **Complete secondary user information**.

You are redirected to the **Secondary User** registration portal.

1. In the **Secondary User** registration portal, complete the required fields, and then choose **Next**.

1. On the **Review and Submit** page, upload a copy of the identity document (**Upload Passport**) and proof of address (**Upload Document**).

1. Choose **Submit for Verification**.

The status of the secondary user's KYC compliance will be reviewed (typically within 24 hours). You will be notified through an email message after the review is complete.
