# Removing an attachment

You can remove an attachment that has been uploaded, has failed to upload, or that you no longer want to include with the case.

**To remove an attachment**

1. In the attachments table, locate the file you want to remove.

1. Choose **Remove** in the **Action** column.

1. The file is removed from the table immediately.

**Note**  
Removed files are not immediately deleted from storage. They are automatically deleted after 24 hours.
