Amazon Aurora is a fully managed relational database service that combines the performance and availability of high-end commercial databases with the simplicity and cost-effectiveness of open source databases. Aurora is comprised of three engines: PostgreSQL, MySQL, and [DSQL](https://aws.amazon.com/rds/aurora/dsql/). Both Aurora PostgreSQL and Aurora MySQL offer full open source compatibility, allowing existing applications and tools to run without requiring modification.
