# Editing a text widget on a CloudWatch dashboard

**To edit a text widget on a dashboard**

1. Open the CloudWatch console at [https://console.aws.amazon.com/cloudwatch/](https://console.aws.amazon.com/cloudwatch/).

1. In the navigation pane, choose **Dashboards**, and then choose a dashboard.

1. Hover over the upper-right corner of the text block and choose **Widget actions**. Then, choose **Edit**.

1. Update the text as needed and choose **Update widget**.

1. Choose **Save dashboard**.
