Release: Elastic Beanstalk Amazon Linux 2023 platform updates on March 31, 2026

This release provides new versions for AWS Elastic Beanstalk platforms based on Amazon Linux 2023. The release includes security updates. It also includes AMI, Docker, Go, Corretto, .NET, Node.js, PHP, Python, Ruby, and Tomcat updates.

Be aware that at the time these release notes are published, the new platform versions might not yet be available in all the AWS Regions that Elastic Beanstalk supports. It might take a few hours for the release to complete.

  • Added PIE (PHP Installer for Extensions) version 1.3.10 to all PHP platform branches.

Python

Updated Pipenv to version 2026.4.0 for Python platform branches.

Ruby

Tomcat

  • Updated Tomcat 11 to version 11.0.20.

  • Updated Tomcat 10 to version 10.1.53.

  • Updated Tomcat 9 to version 9.0.116 (Corretto 8) and 9.0.115 (Corretto 11, 17).
