# Deleting dashboards
<a name="delete-dashboards"></a>

Deleting a dashboard permanently removes access to the dashboard for all users, including any accounts you've shared it with. This action cannot be undone. Once a dashboard is deleted, it will no longer appear in the **All dashboards** tab for owners or the **Shared with me** tab for those it was shared with. End users attempting to access the URL of the deleted dashboard will receive an error message.

When deleting a shared dashboard, especially one used as a standard reporting template across your organization, ensure all affected teams are notified in advance.

While deleting a dashboard removes the visualization configuration, it does not affect the underlying cost and usage data or other dashboards that might show similar data.

**Note**
If the dashboard you are deleting has active scheduled reports configured, those scheduled reports will also stop generating. Ensure you notify any report recipients before deleting a dashboard with active scheduled deliveries.
