# DeleteMeeting


Deletes the specified Amazon Chime SDK meeting. The operation deletes all attendees, disconnects all clients, and prevents new clients from joining the meeting. The request uses the following URI parameters.

 ** [MeetingId](#API_meeting-chime_DeleteMeeting_RequestSyntax) **   <a name="chimesdk-meeting-chime_DeleteMeeting-request-uri-MeetingId"></a>
The Amazon Chime SDK meeting ID.  
Pattern: `[a-fA-F0-9]{8}(?:-[a-fA-F0-9]{4}){3}-[a-fA-F0-9]{12}`   
Required: Yes

## Request Body


The request does not have a request body.

## Response Syntax

HTTP/1.1 204
```

## Response Elements


If the action is successful, the service sends back an HTTP 204 response with an empty HTTP body.

The number of seconds the caller should wait before retrying.

 ** ThrottlingException **   
The number of customer requests exceeds the request rate limit.

The ID of the request that exceeded the throttling limit.
HTTP Status Code: 429

 ** UnauthorizedException **   
The user isn't authorized to request a resource.    
 ** RequestId **   
The request id associated with the call responsible for the exception.
HTTP Status Code: 401
