# Dataset requirements
<a name="dataset-requirements"></a>

The following are important dataset requirements:
+ Default roles automatically include access to all required datasets.
+ Custom roles must be granted access to seven essential datasets: asc\$1adp\$1dp\$1segmentation, asc\$1adp\$1forecast, asc\$1adp\$1planning\$1cycle\$1accuracy, outbound\$1order\$1line, product, product\$1alternate, and supplementary\$1time\$1series.
+ Access to "asc\$1adp\$1dp\$1segmentation" is specifically required for demand pattern and recommendation functionality.
