# DELETE

Deletes rows in an Apache Iceberg table. `DELETE` is transactional and is supported only for Apache Iceberg tables.

## Synopsis

To delete the rows from an Iceberg table, use the following syntax.

```
DELETE FROM [db_name.]table_name [WHERE predicate]
```
